Day 1 - Corregidor Island, Manila Bay
Today we get used to cycling in the Philippines weather on Corregidor Island, which used to serve as a military base during the American occupation of the Philippines before World War 2. Here you’ll see old military installations like batteries and artillery, tunnels, and ruins from the war.
Day 2 - Tagaytay
Cycling at Tagaytay and Taal Lake, enjoying fantastic views of the water, small islands, and Tagaytay ridge forest. We have a choice of riding a horse, or trekking to the volcano's crater.
Day 3 - San Pablo Trails and Hidden Valley
We continue cycling the San Pablo Trails with picturesque views of Mount Cristobal, “The Devil’s Mountain”. On Pandin Lake we enjoy our lunch aboard a bamboo raft, whilst gently being pulled towards the opposite bank. Take time to appreciate the nature and beauty of Hidden Valley Springs.
Day 4 - Laguna, Luzon
Our trip today takes us to Nagcarlan, Laguna, where we visit historic 16th century churches, and also the Underground Cemetery and Majayjay Church in the town of Majayjay. A side trip to the town of Liliw, allows us to shop for locally produced shoes, bags, and ornaments. In the dense jungle around Mount Banahaw, we discover the Taytay Waterfalls, whilst experiencing how the local filipinos live.
Day 5 - Lucban
Today we ride our mountain bikes along the Lucban Trails, through paddy fields, coconut farmss and over several hanging bridges. With this trail ride completed, guests can choose to climb the “Kamay Ni Hesus” (or “Jesus’ Arms”) - a huge statue which overlooks the historic town of Lucban.
Day 6 - Lucban to Naga
Today we depart Lucban and travel by car to Naga, Bicol. Arriving in Naga, we ride our bikes, maybe opting to swim at the waterfalls of Mount Isarog. The trails we ride take us through sugar and corn plantations.
Day 7 - Atulayan Island
Today we cycle the Consocep - a popular Naga mountain biking trail. After the bike ride, we board a boat which takes us to Atulayan Island. Here guests can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear waters, and also picnic on the beach.
Day 8 - Naga to Bicol
We leave Naga and head to Albay Province in Bicol. No cycling tour of South Luzon is complete without visiting the majestic Mayon Volcano. Our trip takes us to the famous Cagsawa Ruins, which was deseroyed by past volcanic activity by Mt Mayon Volcano, which looms, dominating the skyline in the background. Locally-made pastries should be tried, made using Pili nuts, which are abundant in this part of the Philippines.
Day 9 - Donsol
Whale sharks, locally known as "butanding", are what the seaside village of Donsol is famous for. These giant creatures are quite gentle, and we may have a chance to swim amongst them.
Day 10 - Bicol to Manila. Tour of Intramuros
We fly back to Manila, and take a guided walking tour of Intramuros, “The Walled City”. This is one of the oldest and most historic parts of Manila.
