Surfing
The best months for surfing at Siargao Island are August to November. Cloud 9 is the famous beach on the island. The waves are at their peak during typhoon season with a groundswell from two feet up to eight feet.
On a clean easterly swell and offshore southwest wind, Cloud 9 can be mechanically perfect, with a guaranteed barrel on every wave!
There are many other quality waves around Siargao. During May, June and July, the surf is generally smaller but can be especially good if a typhoon swell is developinging.

Sea Fishing
Year-round fishing includes sailfish, yellow fin tuna, skipjack tuna, jack and giant trivially, dorado and, if you're lucky, marlin.
Big-game fishing season for sailfish, which Siargao Island is famous for, is between March and May. Other species such as wahoo (tangigue) and yellow fin tuna are also found during this period.
From August to November, try trolling for dorado (also commonly known as dolphin fish).
