Alona Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines.
Panglao Island is connected to Bohol by a short bridge, and is a great place to explore in itself. It has sandy beaches and a variety of accommodation, including eco-friendly resorts and high end luxury establishments.
Such is the popularity of Panglao Island, it now also has its own modern airport, which was constructed and opened in November 2018, replacing the old airport at Tagbilaran, Bohol.

Dauis Church & Watch Tower
A tour of Panglao island includes a visit to the Church of our Lady of the Assumption in the town of Dauis. The original church, built from light materials was built in 1768, but the present structure - the Church's 5th incarnation - was built in 1863. Its Gothic architecture makes for an imposing structure with the sea and watch tower as a backdrop.
Bee Farm offers delicious meals from organically-grown vegetables and is a wonderfully relaxing place for visitors. It contributes to the local community and the environment and everything they do is geared towards encouraging and inspiring farmers to work organically. They introduce and teach them different livelihood activities which they can pursue in tandem with farming, and Bee Farm also assists in marketing their products.
